Harry Potter Fanfiction Order Members Read the Order of the Phoenix

The Order Reads: Prologue

Remus Lupin and Sirius Black entered the building followed closely past James and Lily Potter. They had all graduated from Hogwarts a scant two months ago (two weeks later James and Lily had joined the countless couples who married early due to the heavy atmosphere that had settled upon the wizarding earth). They were hither for their third meeting with the Order of the Phoenix and plant, upon inbound the meeting room, that they were almost the last to arrive. Only Dumbledore and Peter Pettigrew were missing (Dumbledore was always last and Peter was dwelling house with his mother, who had developed some sort of bad rash and was insisting on being treated like a ambulatory fifty-fifty thought the healers had said it was nothing to be worried almost.

They took their seats to wait for the meeting to begin. Lily sat adjacent to Alice Longbottom, who had been a skilful friend at Hogwarts fifty-fifty though she and her husband were a year older than Lily. Marlene McKinnon sat across from them between Fabian and Gideon Prewitt and rolled her eyes at Lily. Looking around for the cause, Lily saw that James and Sirius were in a corner with their heads together, never a practiced sign. Lily rolled her eyes as well. Who new what those ii would become into this time? She looked away and smiled; Mad-Centre Moody was subtly making his fashion over to them, his normal eye was on the door, but the other was focused on the troublemakers in the corner. McGonagall was likewise watching them with a stern look in her middle. Dumbledore's eccentric brother, Aberforth was glaring in to his empty mug as if willing it to fill up with fire whiskey. Finally, the door opened and Dumbledore entered with his trademark twinkle and a serene grinning.

"I encounter that everybody is hither already. Adept. We can get right down to business. Mind, this isn't exactly the most of import meeting we've had. As I far every bit I know we simply need to here the reports of those who recently went out on missions and…"

But Dumbledore got no further than this. Equally he was speaking a light filled the room and everybody jumped to their feet, wands at the ready. When the light cleared, however, the only alter in the room was a stack of 7 books in the heart of the table with a single letter on top. Dumbledore immediately cast a spell to reveal any nighttime magic placed upon the items. Moody did the same (not that he didn't trust Dumbledore'southward skill, but he wouldn't be easy until he had done information technology for himself). When no spells revealed themselves, Dumbledore picked up the letter and read it aloud.

Dear Members of the Lodge of the Phoenix (1977),

These books contain a story about something we idea you might find interesting. They are stacked in order from get-go to concluding. We're afraid they are the American versions of the books, simply they are basically the same and we beg you to forgive them this flaw. Delight do not skip ahead, as there is a jinx that will take identify if anyone attempts to read them out of order.

Anybody looked at Dumbledore who only smiled and shrugged. "Possibly we should await at the books before we make up one's mind what to practise."

Lily picked up the first 1 and dropped it as she saw the championship. James looked over her shoulder and read information technology to the room. "Harry Potter and the Magician'due south Rock. Who'southward this Harry Potter and what does it mean the Wizard'south Stone?"

Remus picked it up and read the copyright. "Well considering it won't be written for some other 30 years, I'd say he's either your son or your grandson. I believe I read somewhere that what Americans call the Sorcerer'due south Stone is really the Philosopher's Stone. What are the other books called?"

Each book had been picked up past a different person. Sirius called out "I've got the second and information technology's called Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, McKinnon'due south got the 3rd. It says Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. They're all virtually this Harry Potter."

James looked effectually at anybody and said "I don't know about the rest of you lot, but I'm going to read these. Whoever they're about is probably related to me and I want to know how."

Lily, Sirius, and Remus all nodded in agreement. Dumbledore smiled is consent and anybody else settled downward to get comfortable. The mission reports were forgotten for the moment and quite bluntly, most of the room was glad. These books looked a lot more interesting than reports. Just as anybody was deciding who would get to read, in that location was a flash and a puff of smoked. The smoke drifted abroad to reveal Sirius clutching the last book and coughing. The room erupted into laughter. His hair had been turned emerald green and cut to style that was shorter than Sirius had ever had it cut. He felt his head and started whining.

"I only wanted to save the states some time by reading the end!"

"Padfoot, you lot don't even know the half of information technology, go expect in a mirror," James choked out between laughs. Sirius ran out of the room to look in the hall mirror and screamed.

"Why green? Of all the colors in the earth, why GREEN?"

The room erupted with renewed laughter. Every bit Sirius came back in and sat down, Lily smiled at him and said, "We were warned in that location was a jinx for those who tried to skip ahead."

Finally the hilarity calmed down and they got back to business. "Why don't we let Marlene read offset? She works with kids all solar day in that children's waiting room in St. Mungo's. I'm sure she's had loads of practice," James suggested.

Marlene glared at him, but opened the book to the first page and began to read….
